Four Bettys

 

Four Bettys impressed the judges with their performance songs How Many Hearts and I'm Alone Because I Love You, earning them a total of 2736 points.

Four Bettys is composed of lead, Lynda Keever, an attorney; tenor, Joan Boutilier, a children's choir director; bass, Cori Albrecht, who works in public relations; and baritone, Heather Mears-Keever, who is a nurse. All four women are from Illinois.

Two of the quartet members, Lynda and Heather, are also mother and daughter.

2008 Sweet Adelines Quartet Queens

 

With 128 women on the risers, the Harborlites chorus blew away the judges, scoring a total of 2,985 of a possible 3,280 points, singing My Honey's Lovin' Arms and A Bundle of Old Love Letters.

Harborlites chorus has competed in five International Competitions, placing fourth in 2003 in Nashville and placing first in 2004 in Indianapolis.

Master Director, Pam Pieson has been directing Harborlites Chorus for fourteen years and was part of an International Champion Quartet, PANACHE in 1990.

Chartered in 1960, the Harborlites Chorus currently has fifteen quartets stemming from the chorus. Of these fifteen quartets, three competed in Calgary; Shimmer!, SparX! and Razzcals. The 131-member chorus ranges in age from the youngest being fifteen to the oldest being eighty.
