Holland Harmony was founded in 1981 and currently has approximately 700 members in 23 choruses & 31 quartets. That makes us the largest Ladies Association of Dutch Barbershop Singers. And we are still growing. Holland Harmony is mostly concerned with growing in quality and therefore offers a lot of educational activities to her members. We are organizing a convention every other year and a Harmony College every other year.

We are also looking to intensify cooperation with other barbershop organizations in order to support each other, exchange experiences and expertise and of course, to all sing together in harmony.

The New Harvest Singers under the direction of Wil Saenen were also champion in 2005.  And they are so proud of the results of the International Convention in Ireland, Cork, where they were awarded first place in 2007.

It is with great pleasure that Holland Harmony can announce the first European Convention for both men and women. The board of Holland Harmony as well as the convention team 2009 are very pleased that the following organizations will participate in the different contests for both choruses and quartets:

  • IABS – Irish Association of Barbershop Singers – men and women

  • Quartet of Nations, SAI - England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and The Netherlands - women
  • BING! – Barbershop in Germany, men and women
  • FABS – Finnish Association of Barbershop Singers – men and women
  • DABS – Dutch Association of Barbershop Singers – men

This fabulous event where the top of European barbershop singing will compete as well as perform in 3 different shows, will take place from March 5 – 8, 2009 in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.  We would be honored and delighted if you would join us during a fabulous and musical event with high standard of quartets and choruses.
