In July 2009 Alliance traveled to Anaheim, USA as Australia’s representative to the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Quartet Contest. This proved to be an invaluable experience as they competed against many of the very best a cappella quartets in the world. Later that year Alliance travelled to Hobart for national competition in Hobart and were awarded their second gold medal at the AAMBS National Convention.

Alliance will be returning to the USA in 2011 to again represent Australia in international competition. Between now and then they will continue to perform in concerts, facilitate singing workshops, judge in contests and record their second CD.

Vocal Evolution comes from Perth in Western Australia.

In Hobart, Tasmania in 2009 Vocal Evolution were awarded the gold medal at the AAMBS National Open Chorus Contest. With this title came the invitation to represent Australia at international competition which they are aiming to fulfill when they travel to the USA in July 2011.
